• Moderna announces that it expects its coronavirus vaccine to be active against the UK variant; the company will perform additional confirmatory testing. Source
• Pfizer and BioNTech announce an agreement to supply the US with an additional 100 million doses of their coronavirus vaccine by 21 July 2021, reaching a total of 200 million doses. Source
• Switzerland begins vaccinating residents. Source
• After passing an emergency law empowering it to bypass normal registration processes for a year, Hong Kong strikes a deal with AstraZeneca for 7.5 million coronavirus vaccine doses by June 2021, which will enable it to vaccinate its entire population. The country will start to deliver 7.5 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine in January. Source
