• Three of the Lancet’s hydroxychloroquine paper’s four authors announce the withdrawal of independent peer reviewers, who were unable to access the full dataset that the paper was based on. The authors requested that the paper be retracted, as they could “no longer vouch for its authenticity.” Source
• WHO announces that SOLIDARITY’s hydroxychloroquine arm will continue. Source
• The Chief Investigators of the UK RECOVERY trial announce that they have not found beneficial effects from hydroxychloroquine among people hospitalized with COVID-19, and that enrollment into that arm of the trial is immediately being discontinued. Source
• Brazil removes data on COVID-19 cases and deaths, claiming that they are being inflated so states can obtain additional federal funding. Data are restored after a Supreme Court order. Source
