• In an interview, Dr Tom Friedan, former US CDC director, describes the FDA’s EUA for convalescent plasma “…politically driven…” and noted that it raises significant concerns about premature approval of a coronavirus vaccine which could endanger public trust in the FDA. Source
• The US CDC changes its testing guidelines, which recommended testing all close contacts (within 6 feet, for at least 15 minutes) of people with COVID-19. The new guidelines say that close contacts who are asymptomatic do not necessarily need testing, unless they are vulnerable or it is recommended by a healthcare provider or local public health officials.
